As many of you have already seen, we have some AMAZING slap band bracelets in stock featuring some of our little’s favourite bible verses. We have also used Joshua 1 v 9 in all our affirmation cards. Today, we wanted to take a minute to dig a little deeper about what these featured verses mean and why they are so great for kids to know. Let's dive in and discover what it means to be brave and strong from Joshua 1:9!

Setting the scene: Joshua, a brave leader, was chosen by God to lead the Israelites into the Promised Land after Moses had passed away. But leading a whole nation wasn't an easy task, especially when facing big challenges and scary moments. That's where Joshua 1:9 comes in to encourage him and us too!

"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go."

Isn't that awesome? God was telling Joshua to be brave and strong, and He's telling us the same thing today! Let's break it down:

This tells us that we should be brave and not let fear stop us. Whether it's standing up to a bully, trying something new, or facing a tough situation, God wants us to be strong like Joshua. He wants us to KNOW that He is there.

🛡️"Do not be afraid" 🛡️

Sometimes, we might feel scared or worried about what's ahead. But guess what? We don't have to be afraid because God is with us! He's like our superhero, watching over us and giving us courage when we need it most.

🛡️"Do not be discouraged" 🛡️

When things don't go as planned or when we face obstacles, it's easy to feel discouraged and maybe think about giving up. But God tells us not to give up! He's cheering us on, reminding us that we're never alone in our struggles.

🛡️"For the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go" 🛡️

This is the best part! No matter where we are or what we're going through, God is right there beside us. He's our constant companion, guiding us and giving us the strength we need to face anything.

So, the next time you're feeling scared or unsure, remember Joshua 1:9. Be brave like Joshua, knowing that God is always by your side, cheering you on every step of the way. With Him, you can be strong and courageous, ready to tackle anything that comes your way!
